BMW M20 - Chromoly Lightweight Street Flywheel [For BMW E21, E28, E30, E34]

CNC Lightened Flywheel Fits BMW M20 engines.

The flywheel weight is properly distributed for maximum strength, good heat tolerance, and rigidity.

This flywheel, which is CNC-milled from a single block of 4130 chrome-molybdenum alloy, reduces the load on the crankshaft by about 10kg compared to the original flywheel.

Easy Installation, direct bolt on. 

Weight is 3.9kg (8.5lb). 288mm Clutch Fitment.

The flywheels are a direct replacement/ standard fitment to all M20 engines from 1977 to 1992 however it does not have the extra tooth for the the bell-housing mounted crank sensors only found on the early 325eta engines.

Please specify whether your car came with the Single Mass Flywheel (SMF) or Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF). This ensures compatibility with the starter motor.

The SMF has 137t.

The DMF has 113t. 

Towards the end of E30 production some 325e variants were fitted with Dual Mass Flywheels (DMF). These FW have a different clutch and different starter to the SMF.  The SMF is far more common than the DMF!

The DMF version also works if you have an E36 Starter Motor upgrade installed on your M20. 

Some countries did not get the DMF. 

Clutch Fitment

Fits BMW M20 Clutch.

All M20 engines have the same clutch fittings, but must be a single mass flywheel style.

There are different part numbers for different models but they will all fit FW providing they are SMF version.
